ORTH CEMETERY - EST 1836

Orth Cemetery is located on Townline Road - 1/2 mile east of Beloit Road in Belvidere Township. The small cemetery has been cleaned and downed stones have been reset however their orginal position can no longer be determined.

"This cemetery was abandoned for many years and in very bad shape. Belvidere Township and the Belvidere Cemetery took it under their wing and it is a neat little cemetery now. It had been vandalized and overgrown with brush, trees until many stones were ruined and others dsiplaced. So the stones may not be in their original positions. Possibly many more are buried here with no stone and some have been removed to other cemeteries." - H.M.W.
