CONGREGATION AM ECHOD JEWISH CEMETERY - EST

Am Echod Jewish Cemetery is a more recent cemetery than most of those in Lake County. It is located just east of the intersection of Hwys 131 and 132 [Grand Ave]. The cemetery lies between Union Cemetery [on the west] and Lake County Health Department [on the east]. It is a small, but amazing cemetery. Family plots, normally signified by posts on the 4 corners or short cement walls, are shrubs and bushes in the Am Echod Cemetery. It is a neat and tidy cemetery. It looks a bit crowded because of the bushes but still interesting. As you can see in the pictures below. Notice the small stones placed upon the monuments as a sign that someone has visited the grave and said a prayer for the deceased. What a beautiful tradition!
