SAND LAKE CEMETERY - EST

Lake Villa Township, Lake County, Illinois

Sand Lake Cemetery is located on Hwy 132, east of Hwy 83. It lies on the south side of the road and has NO drive going into the cemetery. It is a busy road and you must pull up over the curb and park parallel to the road in a small stretch of grass between the cemetery and the road. This cemetery was mowed but poorly groomed. There was a LOT of weed and bush overgrowth that interfered with the ability find the stones and take pictures. Fallen trees were in the ditch area behind the cemetery as well as broken chain link fence lying about.
