CEMETERY - EST 1884

Winnebago County Farm Cemetery is located off 4400 North Main Street, Rockford behind the present River Bluff Nursing Home. It was used for the poor and indigent of the Rockford area.

The burial sites do not have names - only numbers. We are working on getting a list of names of those known to have been buried in the Winnebago County Poor Farm. There are many burials on which the records have been lost. Those remaining will be added as soon as they comes through.

	Inscription on monument: IN MEMORIAM MORE THAN SIX HUNDRED MEN WOMEN AND CHILDREN WERE INTERRED IN THIS GROUND FROM THE YEAR 1884 THROUGH 1954. TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE KNOWN AND UNKNOWN WHO LIE BURIED HERE.
