The Mitchell Park Domes

Ever wonder what it would feel like to be in the desert oasis, a tropical jungle or floral gardens? Can't afford to travel that far? Well, if you can get to Milwaukee, Wisconsins, you can experience all of them in less than a day!

The "Arid Dome" consists of collections of plants that exist in the hot, dry habitats of Africa, Madagasscar, South America and North America.

The "Tropical Dome" is rich in its diversity of plants from the rainforests of five continents. There are even small, colorful birds that dart through the trees and flowers. Showy flowers, spices, nuts, fruits, orchids and a waterfall complete the scenic paradise away from home.

The 3rd dome is a seasonal dome filled with colorful flowers and plants with a leaning toward the midwest climate. Its arrangement will inspire you to be more creative in your own home gardens. The plantings in this dome are changed five times a year.
