A Bed and Breakfast is not just a place to spend the night and get a meal in the morning, it is an experience in hospitality. While Bed and Breakfasts originally were gracious hosts who opened their home to others, it has grown into a much broader definition. Therefore this list includes not only those establishments calling themselves Bed and Breakfasts but also Guest Homes, Guest Houses, and Inns.
Some accept adults only, while others welcome children. Pets are generally not allowed, but there are a few exceptions. (One even encourages dogs to attend its "dog training sessions.") Breakfast may be a continental breakfast or a hearty full-course meal. Smoking and non-smoking establishments are available. Since we cannot list all the amenities, be sure to ask all your questions when you call the Bed and Breakfast you are interested in staying at.
